We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, usability, and performance of our web and mobile applications throughout the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with developers, product managers, designers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify potential risks, and ensure that every release meets the expected quality standards.

The candidate will be responsible for analyzing functional and business requirements, preparing detailed test scenarios and test cases, executing functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, usability, compatibility, and end-to-end testing, and documenting defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence. You will also be expected to verify defect fixes, perform dependency and impact testing, and ensure that resolved issues do not introduce regressions in related functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Review product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and design specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, UI/UX, and exploratory testing.
• Test web applications across supported browsers and screen resolutions.
• Validate APIs and integrations between different application modules.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects throughout their lifecycle.
• Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing on dependent modules.
• Collaborate closely with development and product teams to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, release validation, and production readiness activities.
• Maintain accurate QA documentation and provide clear testing status updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills

The candidate should have strong knowledge of software testing concepts, SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle management, test case design techniques, and Agile development methodologies. Experience with web and mobile application testing is preferred. Knowledge of API testing, database validation, browser developer tools, and tools such as Postman, Jira, or similar platforms would be an advantage.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to identify edge cases and understand dependencies between different modules. The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication skills and be capable of clearly communicating defects and quality risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
